Fine Art Portraiture is a creative photography process, this creative style is 60% post editing and 40% in front of the camera in the studio or on location. Any successful piece of Fine Art Portraiture takes, planning, lighting, styling, props, perfect composition as well as passion from the photographer to bring out the persons beauty from within. William Shakespeare once said that “The eyes are the window to your soul” so these images are meant to lead you into the eyes and then reveal the picture in its full glory. Every time the image catches your attention you connect with the person through that image.
These portrait sessions are planned upfront, firstly Lucy @swoonstyling will arrange a consultation to find out exactly what it is that you require from your session. Lucy will discuss, colours, styling, composition and even the location where you are looking to hang your artwork in your home, everything right down to the frame or canvas (optional) to display your new Fine Art Portrait. We can either supply you with the digital images or arrange framed pictures depending on your preference and budget. Our Fine Art Portrait session are always relaxed, informal, enjoyable and fun, it’s not just a photoshoot, it’s a whole experience from start to finish.
These sessions at The Swoon Studio Dorset can take in the region of 2/3 hours and we will be taking emotive images that will bring out the best in the person sitting for the portrait. The clothing and the styling is key to the success of the final image so if you feel you need some help with this please contact Lucy and she will help you decide what will work. We want to make sure that we help you every step of the way and take the most natural images possible, no false smiles or awkward poses, just simple, natural and with beautiful results. We think the end product speaks for itself and can guarantee that you will not be disappointed. You will not see any of the images while the shoot is happening and all the agreed numbers of digital images will be ready for viewing 4/5 days after your shoot. If you require any of your images to be framed, put on canvas or printed on acrylics then allow up to 3/4 weeks for these to be delivered. Don’t worry the images that are selected by us will be the best images taken on the day. You can then (if required) choose any images you would like framed, we can discuss this when you book your appointment as there are many option if you consider this option. All images are professionally post edited to give them the Fine Art look, and are totally bespoke, you will receive the HI-Resolution digital colour files and a set of Black & White images 7 days after the shoot.
Full payment for your session will be required on the day of the session either by cash or bank transfer. Additional images are charged at £75 per image up to 6 bespoke Fine Art Portraits. Any Framing / Canvases / Acrylics or Other are charged separately.
