Our lovely clients from Gulliver's Farm Shop were looking for a collection of beautiful photography to showcase the amazing work that goes on 'behind the scenes' at their own 'Sturts Farm'. The goal is to build a fabulous image library for them to use on their new website, on social media and for other promotional purposes in the future.
Sturts is not just any old farm, it's an organic, biodynamic farm that is run by a hugely passionate team of Farmers and Companions from the local community who are dedicated to proving the highest quality of produce in the most ethical and sustainable way possible. Animal welfare is always a top priority and they really wanted all this to be communicated through the imagery we produced. They really are rather inspirational in their commitment to the ethical side of farming and the future of our planet and we feel honoured to be helping them in some small way in their quest.
To this end, we decided on an early start and I was chomping at the bit to start snapping away! It really was so refreshing to watch the sun come up whilst listening to birds calling, cows mooing and chickens clucking. I think I might have missed my true vocation in life!
From the word go, I knew it was going to go well. The light was perfect and the farming team were all brimming with positivity and totally in the zone. Id never seen so many smiley faces on a job! If only everyone had this much passion for their work and job satisfaction!
The morning was spent, keeping up with all the daily chores, from feeding the pigs and piglets to collecting the eggs, and gathering the hay in the fields. I was In troughs, running after tractors, running away from pigs and generally get stuck in and loved every minute of it! I cant wait to go back and capture some of the Farms wonderful fresh fruit and veg with this amazing bunch of people in the next shoot we have booked in! Watch this space!
